I think weird weather has been having an adverse effect on local wildlife. Five raccoons, obviously members of a local, rural gang, mugged the songbird feeder three nights in a row, turning it upside down and emptying its contents onto the lawn. I would have gone out and chased them…… Sign In Join Now Real Guns
As you have probably seen, Gun Owners of America has been all over the news lately, racking up wins around the country in the defense of the Second Amendment. Here are some of our recent victories and battles across the nation: GOA and GOF secure a Temporary Restraining Order against New Mexico carry ban! On September 13th, in U.S. District Court, Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) secured a TRO against New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s gross and egregious violation of the U.S. Constitution through her “public health order” to unlawfully ban the carrying of firearms in Albuquerque. GOA’s Senior Vice President, Erich Pratt said: “We are ecstatic that Judge Urias agreed with us that Governor Grisham simply can’t trash the Constitution whenever she sees fit. Gun Owners of America will continue pressing to extend this Temporary Restraining Order into a permanent order. And […]

BOSTON, MA (September 21, 2023) Today, Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced the filing of an amended complaint in its Granata v. Campbell lawsuit, which challenges Massachusetts’ ban on constitutionally protected, modern handguns commonly possessed and used for lawful purposes throughout the United States. The filing comes after the First Circuit Court of Appeals remanded the case to be reheard in light of the Supreme Court’s decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen. The complaint can be viewed at FPCLegal.org. Gun Owners of America (GOA) and the Gun Owners Foundation (GOF) are excited to announce that the ATF has backed down from attempting to revoke the FFL license of Morehouse Enterprises in Valley City, North Dakota. Previously, GOA and GOF had filed a lawsuit in defense of the gun retailer, which does business as Bridge City Ordnance. The company was facing the loss of its license due to or paperwork errors, which, under the new Biden “Zero Tolerance” policy, was grounds for revocation. Previous ATF policy dictated that warnings and required corrective action were appropriate measures for first-time errors, and only after that could license revocation proceedings be initiated if improvement was not demonstrated. It has become quite obvious to the average individual that the ATF conducted the “random” inspection of Bridge City Ordnance right after the company joined GOA and GOF in a separate lawsuit challenging the ATF’s Ghost […]
Earlier this year, the Biden Adistration announced its intent to move the United States “as close to Universal Background Checks as possible without additional legislation.” After much speculation on how far-reaching the rule would be, it has finally arrived, and it’s worse than expected. In its current form, the universal background check rule could subject those who sell even a single firearm to dealer requirements, including a background check. While it is worth noting that none of this would be possible without the Republican-backed gun control known as the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. There’s still something that gun owners can do to combat this rule. Under the Adistrative Procedures Act, when agencies like ATF make rules, they must first submit the rule for public comment on the Federal Register. During this period, citizens can give their thoughts on the rule and describe their unique situations as to how it will […]
What are some of the best zombie apocalypse weapons? It’s a fun discussion for horror fans and gun enthusiasts, with numerous hit zombie films, TV shows, and video games keeping the topic at the forefront of popular culture. We’ll take a look at some of the most famous firearm platforms featured in zombie fiction and consider how they’d stack up when battling the undead. Thanks to the popularity of ‘The Walking Dead’ the Colt Python has become one of the most iconic zombie apocalypse weapons. This fantastic example is available in October. The best zombie apocalypse weapons are sometimes whatever objects happen to be available, including last-ditch melee options such as blades, bats, and axes, but the importance of guns in such a desperate survival scenario cannot be overstated. When it comes to choosing the right zombie guns, factors such as reliability, accuracy, versatility, portability, capacity, ammunition availability, ease of […]

For those unaware, Gun Owners of America recently filed suit against New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham for her unconstitutional ban on carrying firearms. Governor Grisham banned open and concealed carry under the guise of a “public health emergency.” The ban drew a surprisingly bipartisan backlash from both Republicans and Democrats. The consensus from both sides of the aisle is that the government cannot suspend constitutional rights even for a so-called public health emergency. Well, last month, Senate Democrats from the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions voted to strike down an amendment from the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act that would have prevented the President of the United States and the Department of Health and Human Services from declaring a public health emergency to push gun control. The Braun Amendment, named for Senator Mike Braun, who introduced it, would protect gun owners from tyranny in the name of […]
Two Republican lawmakers have introduced legislation to allow schools to fund firearm safety, hunting and archery programs. GOP lawmakers Rep. Andy Ogles of Tennessee and Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky introduced the Educating Responsible Future Hunters Act to amend federal law to programs that teach proper safety and training with a “dangerous weapon.” … “Sen. Paul and Rep. Ogles deserve praise for stepping into the fray, calling out this adistration’s ridiculous plan to block funds for hunter safety and other programs, and repealing this statute,” Gun Owners of America (GOA) Director of Federal Affairs Aiden Johnston told Fox News Digital. “This is just one of so many poor policies that resulted from Senator [John] Cornyn’s ‘compromise’ on gun control that Congress never should have enacted last year,” he continued. “Biden’s war on hunters and recreational shooters has been elevated to unprecedented heights by blocking these funds that have supported firearm […]
Gun advocacy groups are hailing the firearms charges brought against Hunter Biden, even though they oppose the laws the president’s son is charged with breaking. One, the Gun Owners of America, noted that President Joe Biden has been advocating for tougher gun safety laws. “Gun Owners of America opposes all gun control, but so long as this President continues to use every tool at his disposal to harass and crialize guns, gun owners and gun dealers, his son should be receiving the same treatment and scrutiny as all of us,” Erich Pratt, the group’s senior vice president, said in a statement after Hunter Biden was indicted Thursday on three gun-related charges. The three-count federal indictment filed in Delaware says Biden lied about his drug use when he bought a firearm in October of 2018 while struggling with addiction to crack cocaine. More specifically, Biden is charged with two counts of making false statements by checking a box on the federal gun purchase form by falsely saying he was not a user of or addicted to drugs and was illegally possessing the gun as a drug user. He faces a third count for possessing the gun, a .38 caliber revolver, as a drug user. Firearms Transaction Record, or Form 4473, is a lengthy ATF document that is filled out when attempting to purchase a firearm from a licensed gun dealer. Mike Hammond, legislative counsel at Gun Owners of America, tells AFN those are not “or” charges in the indictment that can be ignored. “This is prohibited-person stuff,” the attorney advises. “This is […]
