(March 14, 2022) Today, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed the Firearms Policy Coalition-supported S.B. 215 into law and rightfully defended a truth we’ve known to be self-evident long before our nation’s founding: Government permission slips are not required for the free exercise of the People’s natural right to keep and bear arms. Under the new law, which takes effect in 90 days, Ohio residents, aged 21 and older and not otherwise prohibited from owning a firearm, will no longer need a license to carry either open or concealed.
